Autumn Yin Yoga Immersion

Your Yin Teacher, Jenny Warburton, is a passionate exponent of Yin Yoga! Jenny will be leading you through an infusion of revitalising Yin yoga postures to create space within your body so you can transition to this new season with a renewed perspective.
Her recent trainings with Sarah Powers in Thailand and more recently in Sydney; along with the completion of all four levels of training with Karin Sang & Markus Geiss in New Zealand, will give us the opportunity to learn from the Insight Yoga Institute of Sarah & Ty Powers, as well as the Yin Yoga School of Paul Grilley with an emphasis on the meridians and chi energy for an Autumn Yin Yoga practise.  
In Traditional Chinese Medicine, each season corresponds to different organs and their meridians — the subtle energy channels through which chi, prana flows. Autumn is the energy of Metal, the time of year when nature sheds its leaves and lets go of what it no longer needs.
The Metal Element, the lungs and Autumn are all about transformation. We will focus on a practice with particular attention to the meridians of the lungs and large intestine. The Lungs transform the air we breath into the oxygen our bodies need to function; and the Large Intestine eliminates the waste that our bodies no longer need.
So while nature is transitioning from Summer to Autumn we will prepare your body for the season ahead. Opening up your heart, stimulating your lungs to remove stagnation; and working gently into your hips, where you will experience a lot of sensation and release. This is an area of the body we tend to hold emotional stress from our current state and from past seasons. As sensations arise here, you will be encouraged to breathe and to release, to create space within you so you can start this new season with a renewed perspective.
