Beginners Progression

Beginner's Progression courses teach the basic poses of yoga and introduce the concepts of alignment in the body. The photo is illustrating the focus on concentration and strengthening the body to prepare for "balances".  During an 8 week course we cover all the necessary techniques to improve flexibility and strength with forward bends, gentle back bends, twists and the basic well known standing poses.  

Yoga is a great practice to help cope with injuries, stress, lack of fitness and anxiety or excess weight.  

We start gently and in a fun and friendly beginners environment where questions and 'mistakes' are welcome!  Students receive a work sheet to illustrate the basic poses that can be done at home.

The classes incorporate - basic yoga poses, breathing practises, meditation and relaxation

Course Dates

6:30pm - 7:45pm each Tuesday @ Pendicup Community Centre, Warner

7 May 2019 - 25 Jun 2019 (8 weeks)    

Looking for Monday night Beginners at Cashmere? This is now a Yoga and Meditation class starting on 21 January by regular class pass.

New to Pine Rivers Yoga? You will need to subscribe to Pine Rivers Yoga before purchasing from the shop. Existing students and past attendees just need to enter your email address to purchase. 

This course is not suitable for children under the age of 12.  12 - 16 year olds must be accompanied by a parent. We also hold several free Come & Try It Yoga session a few times a year - check out the dates and details.
